You're Dream Venue
What is it?
Ever dreams of their perfect wedding, with the most delicate white lace dress with studs on the top, the most beautiful complimentary colors for your bridesmaids and of course the most delicious food to be served. One thing you probably didn't think of was where was your elegant wedding going to be? A country club, a backyard, a beach? Exactly you don't know, a lot of people probably don't know where their going have their wedding, sweet 16, bar mitzvah and more celebratory events. Finding your perfect venue can be very difficult, what do you want, what don't you want, what kind of experience do you want lavish, casual, basic? My job now is to give you three different scenarios of venue styles, so you can finally answer this.
Luxurious, Lavish, and Over The Top:
Thinking about what kind of style you want for any occasion is difficult depending on how much money you can spend, choosing one of the many themes you think of, and of course what you want and don't want. First, let's start out with something extreme, something big luxurious, with hundreds of people. In this scenario you would need to rent a place with a lot of room for all your guests. A place that would give you a ballroom dance floor, excellent food to be served, live music, and uncanny decorations. These places that include all of this and more can be pretty pricey. For example, one place that I have done research on, that exhibits everything and anything luxurious, is the GlassHouse in NYC. This place is on the 21st floor and allows the guests to have a great view of the NYC skyline. Venues like these, could cost 40,000. However what you can get out of t is worth it...to some people. Overall this venue comes with top service and staff handling everything for you so you don't even have to worry, great views, food, live music, and plenty of space for hundreds of people.

Grand, Classic, and Tasteful
So, a lot of people can not afford a ballroom with thousands to seat, nor some people don't even like gigantic weddings. Some would rather have a fancy, yet smaller decorated space that has less unnecessary materialistic items. In this scenario, you still want something big maybe not thousands but maybe 100-250 people there max. In this style you still get a lot of people but it becomes a little more calm and relaxing with less people there. Next, maybe you don't want 4 full course meals coming out from waiters, and waitresses, so in this case a buffet would be a lot better. This allows your guests to pick and choose what they eat rather than be stuck with one meal. Furthermore a buffet, is also a little bit less fancy than having 20 plus waiters waiting on your guests but its still appropriate for really any occasion. Later, instead of live music because there's so much stress with finding bands to play the right music, a DJ is never a bad idea. Make a soundtrack, play what you want and also pay a lot less money. One nice venue is, The Deity in Brooklyn NYC which is a perfect example of a very beautiful but affordable place. With 5 star ratings, a 5,000 square foot room, its only 7,000! Sadly, going this route means you will have to lose a lot of the things in the previous venue such as grand decor, a gorgeous skyline, many more guests, however this does allow for the average person to have a very upscaled looking wedding without burning a whole in their pocket.

Simple, understated, and Modest
For a lot of people, they don't dream about their wedding day, nor do they want to spend a lot of money on it. For those few, as long, as they find someone that makes them feel loved and supportive thats all that matters. For people like this, their scenario is a bit different from the ones up top. This includes, no DJ, no grand buffet, or even a ballroom. This is just them, someone to ordain the wedding, and a few close friends. This style would probably be in a a small country club, or small outside area even. There would be few chairs for few people to watch the ceremony and the ceremony would follow a small gathering. This gathering would include someones phone plugged into a speaker, 2 big trays of something simple like pasta, and a pretty white sheet cake iced with their names. For many, if choosing this venue it would most likely be in a nice grassy area with some folding chairs and a big round table to fit everyone attending. Although this venue seems pretty bland, and empty it actually has so much more than what any of the other ones had. This has originality, creativity and personality, and could be as cheap as 1,000. Additionally, choosing this route becomes more heartfelt for the two getting married because they have themselves and the few but most important people they love most in their life.

HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED!!!

Hi Marissa, I love that you have different sections for different types of styles, that was a nice touch to it. Nice job I really like this piece and the pictures you chose are lovely
ReplyDeleteI love how you include different venues that could work for every time of person! You include something simple vs something lavish which is good because people usually prefer one or the other. - Cyn
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you gave different options depending on what type of person you were. Some may want a huge party and some might want a smaller one. Great job!
