Imagine you're on top of a Black Diamond (the hardest kind of ski & snowboard mountain). The wind is blowing and you can feel the cold winter air through your ski jacket and several layers. You look down and the snow you get on your coat is now turning to frost. You strap on your skis and push yourself forward to start your way down the powdered snow. This is one of the best feelings for any skier or snowboarder. Since its the time to get your ski or snowboard strapped in you wanna make sure you're looking very stylish on the mountain. Here I'm going to give you a few websites/stores that are sure to make you and your outfit pop on the mountain.

THE BASICS:

So, most people know that when going skiing or snowboarding you need the basic gear to get you down the slopes. The basics include a ski jacket, I prefer a "Bugaboo" which is a 3 layer ski jacket or if you only have the shell, you need about 2 more layers under that (depending on temperature). 2nd, you need your ski pants and something under it like leggings. 3rd, and 4th you need a helmet and gloves to keep your head protected when falling, and hands warm. Next, you need your goggles to protect your eyes from becoming too dry in the wind. Last, you need your skis and ski boots to get you down the mountain which is based on how tall or how much you weigh and obviously your shoe size. These 7 things are the basic things anyone needs when heading down a mountain, but now I'm going to give you websites to find the most fashionable items.

REI:

REI is an online ski and snowboard gear website to find the best items but for a solid price and great specials! REI has it all, although they might not have the cutest items there sure are protective, and have very well-known brands like Columbia, North Face, and Gerry. Although they don't have many patterns or spunk most of their pants have a very wide color scheme.

1.)These pants are so cute because they're pink, but they're not too bright or flashy. They're like a rose pink which, is very subtle and could math colors like black, and white as a top. It also would pair nicely with colors like olive green or a dark navy blue.


2.)These are more of a dark burgundy which is more chic, and mature looking. They're very fashionable as well because they would look nice with colors like white, cream, black and gray and silver. I like these specifically since they are more subtle looking I can pair with much more accessories such as rainbow lens goggles or a colorful helmet.

 These are a little bit more on the brighter side of things. They have a very nice pop of color, which would definitely make you stand out on the slopes! Colors would go great with this is gray, white, pink, and violet. In addition to, I really like these pants because they have a very positive and bright spirit rather than the other 2 which give off a little bit of a darker and colder feel. 






Obviously REI has many other piece of snowboard, ski and even mountain biking gear but I just picked out a few of their cutest pants since I think they really stood out on their website. Furthermore, these 3 pants all go from $200-$400.

ROXY:
I personally love Roxy because they have a pretty wide selection of all snowboard and skiing gear but I especially like them for their ski and snowboard jackets. Roxy is known to be the place to find the most stylish jackets because of the loads of patterns on each one.
1.)
 This is one of my favorite jackets from their website because I think it is absolutely beautiful. The ombre of the dark plum to a coral is stunning. The contrast of the shades from the jacket is also very vibrant and will be sure to pop on the top of the slopes.









2.) 

This jacket although kind of "boring" in color because its mostly grays and whites, the details are amazing. There are big flower petals on the stomach and arm sections, but even smaller petals and lines within them. The color combinations as well as the patterns are very subtle but a perfect color scheme for winter. 



3.) 

Last is a snow suit where the jacket and the pants come together in a set. In this set theres a lot going on from head to toe. On the top half our jacket is covered in spiky flowers that are just gray and black. The second half of the jacket has a burst of colors like light yellow, blue and pink. These colors are all integrated into the jacket with stripes. Then if you look even closer the flowers from the top half are snuck into the bottom half of the jacket. The top is really crazy but soo cute as well. Now the pants are something even more cute because if you look very closely the patterns from the jacket are actually on the side of the pants. The patterns on the sides of the leg compliment the top perfectly and they both fit very nicely together. This look is nothing but bold. 

Again Roxy has so many more options and so man other snow gear, casual clothes and even home decor, I just picked this website out because I thought their selection of ski and snowboard jackets was very unique!
