Hey Guys! This is going to be a continuation of my last blog post about the clothing for skiing. In this post, however, I am going to be talking about the rest of the gear needed for skiing and snowboarding like the different types of goggles and helmets.

So the first part of my blog I am going to be talking about is goggles. Now goggles are one of my favorite pieces of ski equipment (I primarily ski) because no matter what colors you get they look like a holographic rainbow (which is super cool!). In addition to what they look like on the outside the lens are different colors as well like a tan orange, pink, light purple, blue any color you name it!

These are goggles #1. These are a beautiful ombre pattern of a royal blue to a shining magenta. They compliment colors like light pink, dark purple and dark blues very nicely. In addition to the lens color, dark blue would be very good for people who like a darker and colder tone of things to see better. They would look good with a dark jacket (example blue) and light pants because your outfit just like the goggles would be consisting of dark and light colors. I think they're pretty and come off subtle but with a good outfit choice, they could MAKE an outfit! (These are on the REI WEBSITE, Im putting the link @the end)

Smith Virtue ChromaPop Snow Goggles - Women's Grape Split
This the #2nd pair of goggles below. These are very bright and again an ombre of bright orange to a golden yellow surrounding the sides.  These colors are going to definitely pop on the mountain and are full of nothing but a gorgeous fiery sensation. Furthermore, because of the orange and yellow colors, if looking through the lens it would come off as a tan and golden scenery. This pair of goggles would look very good with basic colors like black, whites, gray and navy. In addition to, if wearing these goggles with a basic outfit of a white jacket and black pants (example) a nice compliment would be a yellow or orange helmet or gloves.  These are not your ordinary one color pair of goggles, they're much more than that...they're the star of an outfit.

These are the #3rd pair of goggles. These are a little different from the rest of the goggles. In the first two goggles, the lens were different bold colors while the lining was a solid plain color. However, in this pair of goggles, the main color is actually on the lining, as you can see the mint green on the edges. Then,  the lens is actually silver on the outside and a gray and turquoise shade looking through.  I like this especially because my jacket is mint green and would compliment it nicely.  In general, however, the silver would be very classy and chic. It also gives you the ability to pair these with any funky colors you want because nothing would clash. All in all these goggles are very flexible and would be able to go with really anything!

Next, I am going to be talking about the 2 types of skiing and snowboarding helmets: The Injection Molded, and the Hardshell.

INJECTION MOLDED:

Injection Molded helmets have a thin plastic shell, with foam on the inside giving lots of comfort for your head if falling. They mold better to fit one's head shape and have a light feel to it as well. Compared to a hardshell helmet they are less round and more expensive.

HARDSHELL:

The next type of helmet is a Hardshell helmet. These look like a skateboard helmet because they are made with a more durable and hard material and have a more circular shape. They are made with a harder type of plastic and foam on the inside as well. In comparison to an Injection Molded helmet, they are more round and less expensive.
