Aesthetics is what makes this world a beautiful thing. A Brandy Melville girl is a Californian sweetheart, with long hair and even longer hair. Shes wearing short-shorts that have a 70s grunge look to it. Shes usually wearing an oversized hoodie or a lightweight crop top. Shes did not dress the nicest but her look is undeniably attractive and you want that look and you want to be her. Shes a Brandy Melville girl and you can be her too.

Their Story

Brandy Melville was actually originally founded in Italy 20 years ago by Silvio Marsan and his son Stefan. The first store in the U.S. was in the Westwood neighborhood in Los Angeles in 2009. Soon after its opened up 11 stores in California alone, 6 on the East Coast and one in Hawaii. Although this store has not been in many advertisements social media is another story. Social media sites such as Instagram and Facebook pop-ups. One of their most recent stores is located in New York City in Soho. Their store is filled with bleached wood, and color palette filled with cream, dusty blue, dustier rose, and maroon. Everything from the faded denim to the vast crop top selection is shockingly soft, a selling point every Brandy girl notes. 

Tops and Tees

Brandy Melville and their signature tops are usually in the color palette of black, white, gray and green. Their tops are mostly just solid colors and considered basic. That's their style nothing too funky, odd, but simple at best. Their tee-shirts are usually cropped and a crew neck. The solid and simple coloring of the shirt is what makes their brand so unique, they take the simplistic idea and use it as their own style.

Here pictured is one of Brandy's basic tees. This is a pure example of how utterly simple yet truly chic their clothing is. The model here is pictured with one of their signature images. The blue car with its motor show information on the back is printed on many of their other products, like a long sleeve shirt, a tote bag and even a ring with a miniature car on it. This t-shirt goes along with their timeless style of simplicity and retro style.

Rainbow is in 

Brandy Melville, yes very known for their simple solid colors and blue car image, they are also very known for their signature thin rainbow stripes. These stripes are skinny, printed on moslty tee-shirts and usually on the section right at the top of the tourso.  This is such a popular design fir many stores and Brandy is just one of those many stores that put these solid color lines into action on their t-shirts. These lines are obviously a tribute to the LGBTQ community, however, it is a fashion statement and a really good one.
